A thirst for fashion can now be quenched with a refreshing dose of urban threads, footwear and accessories found only in Melbourne’s CBD. The charming McKillop St welcomes its newest resident following the arrival of  ‘Up There’ store. Jason, Brendan and James make up the fashionable family, who serve their knowledge about style- straight up, with a touch of class.

Their influences in music, street fashion and design have effectively been represented store wide. Down to the last stitch, the trio have taken on additional responsibilities, researching all aspects of their suppliers and designers, elevating their retail store to the next level. The ‘Up There’ team have created a unique purchasing experience, taking great pride in stocking exclusive, handpicked pieces from Australia, Europe, Japan and the USA. Anything from printed tees, jeans, sneakers, hats and plaid shirts, there’s something to take home.

If you’re the kind of guy who dresses for comfort, prefers loose fitting jeans instead of ball-breakers and you want your purchases to last more than one season, ‘Up There’ is the place to visit.

Guys, invest in quality denim. Black jeans are so versatile, they can be worn casually with a tee or can double up as a dressy pant. Pair with any colour t-shirt, we chose marl with a  pocket detail for a relaxed look. We couldn’t go past these leather Converse, it’s time to throw out the $6 pair of K-mart shoes.

*Remember if they have holes in them, the rubber is pulling apart and the laces are dirty, it’s time to get a new pair.

This is a great of example of casual looking smart and transitional. A pair of sand coloured shorts are pefect for this season. Pair with virtually any coloured t-shirt and shoes. The light colour and fabric means the shoe should be match this. Therefore, avoid chunky or heavy leather/seude shoes and opt for a canvas shoe or sneakers.

The tshirt is effortlessly cool and a lot of the pieces in store can be worn by men and ‘boys’. The hat is a cute finish, the green is standout and ads a touch of colour to the mix.

It’s nice to attract positiveattention and surprisingly, these red jeans really work. Don’t be afraid to play around with different looks. Paired with a plain t shirt, light cardi or a striped sweater. Gorgeous. Remember that the jeans are the star so no need for prints, patterns etc.

Paired with a practical and durable parker, you can really take your everyday look up a notch… and who can’t go past white leather Converse sneakers?

A fabulous selection of t shirts, this one has a cute pocket detail. The lines are inoffensive, it will serve as a staple in your wardrobe. There are some great coats, jackets and hoodies in store. Even though the colder months are passing, it’s still worth trying on jackets that are made from light weight fabrics. This jacket is so versatile and we look excellent with suede boots or Clarks.

*Rule of thumb: There’s nothing attractive about seeing the outline of your squished balls – make sure you can get 2 fingers down the front of your pants. There’s a really nice selection of jeans that are made from quality denim. We paired ours with a durable tan, suede shoe.

Even though Summer is approaching, most guys have at least one plaid shirt in their wardrobe. They go with just about anything, I would suggest you wear it open or done up with the top button UNDONE… if you’re not wearing a tie or going to pray… keep it undone.
