OK, Fashion Rebel has got your covered. Only 25 days to get your Holiday Shopping done and dusted!

There are many thoughtful triggers that ignite the senses and evoke nostalgic memories between you and your loved ones…

My affinity with Popular Culture began at the age of 5 when my parents felt I was ready to watch “Wayne’s World”. The one-syllable catch phrases, crazy hair and fashions sparked an endless search for to emulate the style of the 80’s – early 90’s.

STRIPES, Uncle Buck, Nintendo, The Sandlot Kids, Bill & Ted’s, Sega, Fresh Prince …. I always tried to aspire for that next-cool-trend and NOTHING goes past those funky, flexible bracelets, secured by a slapping motion.

Now, 2011 welcomes the “pimped-out” iconic SLAP Watch. Splash proof, affordable, personal and in tonnes of varieties… This holiday season, it’s time to give the gift of COOL.

Exclusively online www.slapwatches.com.au prices start at $34.95

Bad, meet Evil… – Launch Party

18 Apr 2011 , 13:28 | Posted In Blog Post | 5 Comments

It was my first ever solo-event launch and I was representing the ‘Bad, meet Evil..’ brand.

With a small budget and limited time frame, it was a project that required intense effort and dedication.

The contemporary Treehouse venue was transformed into a chilled, soulful hangout for Melbourne’s fashion, hip-hop and design enthusiasts.

The crew from Crisp Entertainment…

Fjorde Magazine..

Jade & Irish from StyleZilla

Joseph Fonti & stylist/RAWW blogger Micah

The high calibre event exhibited Fonti’s debut-collection of graphic art and street-wear to a sea of stylish attendees.

Including.. The Real Pants Men - Besty & Mick

Alice from Warrior

Twins Adrian & Silvio

And heaps more..

An unexpected surprise, guests were treated to a rather satirical performance by Australia’s son of hip-hop, 360. Setting the scene for a fierce catwalk show, 360 had crowds in hysterics with his brazen hosting skills.

Enlisting the old-school talent of scratch-DJ Paolo, models worked the runway, confidently dancing to the sounds of Missy Elliot and Pharoahe Monch.

Local sponsors, The Real Pants Man and Warrior provided models with the latest in quality denim and footwear….

While guests nibbled on delicious Lolly-Kebabs provided by the Sweet & Nut Shop.

Thanks Wayne!

Far from bad or evil, the night was a true success, with many of Fonti’s original artworks being sold to collectors, fans and friends. Attendees pressed the tight-lipped designer for hints regarding the new-season range but, settled for a gift-bag courtesy of SPOOK magazine.

Thanks to my family and friends who were very supportive. Ttyl betches xox

Service: Strange

Decadent and colourful, flavoursome and fresh, these words best describe the classic-dishes on offer at Chimmy’s. Always enjoyed on a sunny afternoon, sit outside and take in the bustling vibe of Richmond with a strong latte’ in hand. Echoing an old-school cafe’ charm, the high calorie menu entices diners with traditional cakes, pastries, and desserts. While the ambience is rather uninspiring, Chimmy’s mask minor flaws with beautiful, oven-baked Artisan breads and excellent coffee. If you’re on the lookout for elegant breakfasts and contemporary lunches then be sure to check out the impressive menu at Chimmy’s.

SAVERS – Grand Opening

18 Feb 2011 , 9:04 | Posted In Blog Post | 4 Comments

On your marks…. Get set…. GO!

Bargain shoppers, vintage collectors and fashionable friends, it’s been a long 10 year wait but let me be the one to tell you…. it’s well worth it!    SAVERS have finally opened another location in the Victorian suburb of Mill Park.

Fashion Rebel was invited to the exclusive event that housed hundreds of thousands of must-have clothing, jewellery, home wares, shoes and handbags. It truly is a wonderful feeling knowing that your small monetary exchange for goods is conserving natural resources, helping non-profit organisations and promoting ecological living.

A series of moving speeches from company directors, charitable partners and dedicated employees kicked off the evening and left the attendees feeling warm and fuzzy. A long-standing partnership with Diabetes Australia was all justification necessary for shoppers to empty their account balances.

What better way to showcase in-store items then with canapé’s, drinks and a fabulous runway show. Does anyone have this guy’s number? He’s gorgeous

The process of scouting this wonderful Mill Park location re-inforces the SAVERS promise of customer satisfaction. With staff on board to replenish over 100,000 additional items waiting in storage, lucky shoppers will leave the superstore with new stock every day!

Be sure to make the trip down to SAVERS Mill Park. It’s for a good cause, the prices are fantastic and its untapped territory meaning, the selections are AMAZING!
